Reporting to our CEO, the Executive Officer plays a pivotal role in delivering high-level strategic, operational, and executive support to the Chief Executive Officer. Acting as a trusted advisor, the Executive Officer provides critical insights, strategic counsel, and tailored solutions to facilitate decision-making and ensure priorities align seamlessly with Seqwater’s overarching strategic and operational objectives.
This position manages complex CEO communications, fosters stakeholder engagement, and oversees the implementation of key initiatives and projects, ensuring they are executed effectively and in alignment with Seqwater’s long-term vision. The Executive Officer also drives the coordination of governance activities, executive meetings, and board-level priorities, while anticipating challenges and identifying opportunities to enhance organisational performance and outcomes.

Prepare, manage, and review CEO communications, briefings, and reports to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with strategic priorities. Act as a key liaison for the CEO, coordinating stakeholder communications, addressing requests, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Research, analyse, and provide strategic advice and reports on complex policy, planning, and operational matters to facilitate informed decision-making. Proactively anticipate challenges, emerging issues, and risks, offering solutions to ensure effective resolution and minimal disruption.

Lead and contribute to projects and initiatives that support organizational goals. Monitor, implement, and report on strategic and operational plans to drive outcomes and align with Seqwater’s broader objectives.

Develop, implement, and evaluate administrative systems, processes, and practices to enhance efficiency, optimize workflows, and deliver quality outcomes across the organization.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Proven ability and experience dealing with complex issues, managing and prioritising commitments and associated activities for Executive level, including the ability to initiate, determine and follow up work within mandated and tight timeframes.

Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills that reflect the ability to liaise effectively, diplomatically, and discretely at all levels of the organisation and with other government and non-government agencies, organisations, and members of the public

Experience in organising and directing multiple teams and departments
