About Your Opportunity
You will work closely with Project Managers and stakeholders and lead the team of schedulers and planners to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. You will contribute to the delivery of the Infrastructure Planning and Capital Delivery program, consisting of upgrades to dams, treatment plants and pipelines across South East Queensland. The five year program totals approximately $6 billion, with some of our major projects estimating total project costs between $250 million and $2 billion. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of project schedules, and review of
contractor’s baseline and progressed schedules as well as identifying what work needs to be completed, constructability issues, and key project interfaces, ensuing that project performance and forecasts are accurately reported.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team in capability building activities focused on project schedules and planning, ensuring enhancement of skills and processes across the organisation.
- Collaborate with Program Managers to understand program objectives, priorities and manage and optimize program activities to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Work with the Portfolio Office to develop, implement and promote the organisation’s scheduling standard across the Infrastructure Planning and Capital Delivery program.
- Provide expert advice to the Principal Program Controls, Program and Project Directors and Managers and the Leadership Team on project schedules and the integrated master schedule.
- Assist with the development, monitoring, controlling, and reporting of project schedules through the various project stages in the project lifecycle, highlighting emerging issues and providing input into strategies to mitigate project and program risks.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineer or construction management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 10 years project scheduling experience within a major project environment, preferably in a senior or lead role
- Proven experience and skills in developing schedules and advanced skills in using Primavera P6.
This position has a salary range of $132,491 – 142,924 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation. this position is initially offered as a fixed term contract until June 2026
