About Your Opportunity
Reporting to our Operations Supervisor Supply, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuous and efficient operation of our water treatment plants. You will utilise your technical knowledge and sound judgment to ensure supply demand is met and perform vital monitoring and testing to maintain water quality. Your responsibilities will also include chemical dosing, responding to alarms, and resolving equipment faults to ensure the smooth functioning of our facilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, control, and optimise water treatment processes to meet specified outcomes outlined in Standard Operating Procedures across multiple plants.
- Undertake duties to effectively and efficiently run water treatment plants, ensuring optimal operation.
- Apply judgement to determine chemical doses and process variables using the SCADA system.
- Evaluate and apply knowledge to solve problems related to treatment processes and equipment under varying conditions.
- Review, compile, and record plant operational data in line with operational procedures and protocols.
Hours and Locations
This role will be based out of Beaudesert Water Treatment Plant and will be part of a team that works on a roster including weekends, public holidays and some on-call work (shift allowances apply).
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Certificate II or higher in Water Industry Operations or deemed equivalent experience
- Sound knowledge of Water treatment practices and principles
- Sound working knowledge of water infrastructure and the operation of associated equipment and plant
- Possess a C class Drivers Licence for a vehicle
- Sound computer skills including knowledge of SCADA and telemetry systems
This position has a salary starting at $72,073.90 - $91,622.35 plus 12.75% superannuation and is a permanent full-time role.
