About your opportunity
We are seeking a Network Operational Planning Lead to join our Operations Group. In this pivotal role, you will lead the enhancement of Seqwater’s operational modelling, production planning, and scheduling capabilities. You will play a key role in shaping Seqwater’s long-term operational strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and state-wide water security initiatives.
This role is responsible for:
- Leading the planning and execution of high-impact water network projects to ensure resilience and sustainability of bulk water supply
- Developing and embedding governance frameworks for planning and scheduling works impacting supply
- Establishing visibility of works and network interruptions over a 1-year horizon
- Reviewing and recommending improvements to current modelling tools and delivery capacity
- Developing business cases for enhancing or procuring new modelling tools
- Leading the development of outage and shutdown strategies and associated procedures
- Engaging stakeholders to understand business requirements and risk profiles
- Providing strategic and operational advice based on model analysis
- Contributing to demand schedules to inform budgeting processes
- Ensuring compliance with Seqwater’s safety, quality, and environmental management systems

About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A relevant degree/qualification and/or experience in the resource sector
- Significant experience in establishing governance models and strategies
- Demonstrated experience in project/works planning and scheduling
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders to develop business requirements
- Background in water supply network modelling (desirable)
- Experience developing business cases and integrating complex plans and processes
- Knowledge and experience in operating water-related infrastructure or similar resource industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Well-developed analytical skills and attention to detail
- Alignment with Seqwater’s values of integrity, respect, care, and courage
This position has a competitive salary range, plus 12.75% superannuation and is full-time, permanent.
