About Your Opportunity
As the Advisor - Bulk Water Metering, you will be responsible for the ingestion, collation & distribution of water meter readings and their associated data for continuity of supply and billing. In this fast-paced role, you will provide expert guidance in the management of bulk water metering systems and advise on the maintenance, and optimisation of metering infrastructure to ensure accurate measurement and efficient management of water resources. In this role, you will develop extensive knowledge of the water grid including extracting and utilising data from water assets such as flow meters; used to provide visibility of the production and transport of bulk water in South East Queensland.
Key responsibilities:
- Collect and analyse bulk water data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Prepare daily detailed reports on metering system performance and water consumption.
- Provide data rectification and substitutions, meeting compliance requirements.
- Identify meter faults and coordinate maintenance investigations to support the rectification of flow meters and their supporting data.
- Interpret improve and develop water balances, identify risks and issues, and support the implementation of such changes.
- Support billing data submissions and reporting, meeting end of month deadlines.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Experience applying exceptional judgement on analytical acumen to interpret data, make informed decisions and devise strategies to optimise accuracy.
- Experience building and maintaining collaborative working relationships.
- Have an extensive administration background.
- Experience using various software tools such as excel.
- Experience in analysing data & working with numbers (desirable).
- Experience in end of month billing (desirable).
- Experience in water metering, utilities or a related industry (desirable).
- Experience working with the South East Queensland water grid layout and operations (desirable).
Depending on your location, you’ll have the opportunity to work from one of our operational sites located in Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold Coast, or Sunshine Coast. This role also includes the flexibility to work from home three days per week, with a requirement to attend our Ipswich office once a fortnight.
This position has a salary range of $93,934.23 - $104,732.74 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation.
