About Your Opportunity

Reporting to our Lead - Networks Planning, you will contribute to the management of existing and future water network assets, ensuring that water supply strategies and regulatory obligations are met at the lowest whole-of-life cycle cost. The role involves providing technical direction for existing assets using a risk-based approach, managing detailed condition assessments, and developing efficient asset management plans. The officer is also responsible for planning and analysis to identify the best options for addressing identified risks, supporting the long-term performance and sustainability of network assets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the management of existing and future water network assets, ensuring alignment with water supply strategies and regulatory obligations, while achieving the lowest whole-of-life cycle cost.
  • Provide technical direction and conduct risk-based assessments to determine the condition and capability of built assets, supporting asset optimisation and minor improvements.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve asset management plans and risk-based maintenance strategies for network assets.
  • Undertake planning and analysis to identify preferred options for addressing identified risks, including asset renewal opportunities and operational improvements
  • Ensure compliance with Seqwater’s work health and safety, quality, and environmental management systems, and contribute to the effective management of business risk.

 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Technical or engineering qualifications in a relevant discipline (such as Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Substantial working knowledge of occupational health and safety (OH&S) requirements and associated legislation.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders and building professional networks to achieve improved resource management outcomes.
  • Experience in the evaluation of assets and their performance, including dams, treatment plants and pumping equipment and pipelines

 

This position has a salary range of $108,332.25 - $119,130.76 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation.
