As one of the largest water businesses with the most geographically spread and diverse asset base of any capital city in Australia, our operations extend from the New South Wales border to the base of the Toowoomba ranges and north to Gympie.

As we enter an exciting period of expansion, we're embracing new technologies and sustainable practices to meet the growing needs of our region. We work collaboratively across our organisation and with our stakeholders, constantly striving to enhance the quality of service we provide. As we modernise our systems and invest in smarter water grids, we remain focused on delivering the highest standard of service, always with the future in mind.

Our transformation is about more than just infrastructure—it’s about people. Our team of dedicated professionals are united by a shared passion for creating lasting, meaningful outcomes for the communities we serve, and this is reflected in Our Vision, Water for Life, Our Promise - Safe for Life, and Our Values of integrity, respect, care, and courage that shape everything we do.

You’ll be working on some of the most high-profile water infrastructure projects in the industry, helping to secure Water for Life for generations to come.

About Your Opportunity

Step into a pivotal leadership role as Program Manager (Electrical), where you'll be at the forefront of delivering some of the most dynamic programs and projects in South East Queensland’s water sector. Your expertise will drive the achievement of quality standards, financial targets and key deliverables from start to finish—making a real difference to communities now and into the future.

You'll take the reins on developing forward-thinking strategies to engage with the best in the construction industry and other external partners, ensuring every project delivers outstanding value. As a trusted advisor, you’ll provide specialist guidance and hands-on support for program and project delivery, championing robust governance and equipping internal teams to excel.

Your talent for crafting solid business cases will pave the way for critical works, while your collaborative approach will see you working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders—both inside and outside Seqwater—to realise high-impact results and advance strategic goals. This is your chance to shape lasting outcomes and help secure Water for Life for generations to come.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive 5 year Electrical & Energy Renewal Program, working closely with Asset Managers, Operations, and technical stakeholders.

  • Oversee program governance, prioritisation, and delivery to ensure alignment with organisational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the procurement, planning, and delivery of diverse natural and built asset projects, ensuring each initiative meets Seqwater’s quality, financial, and output standards while achieving the best value for investment.
  • Oversee all phases of project design and execution, ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery in line with specifications, standards, and budgets, and actively contribute expert advice, technical guidance, and robust business cases to support critical works.
  • Foster strong relationships with external providers, government agencies, and key stakeholders—championing clear communication, contractual compliance, and community engagement to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Provide empowering leadership by coaching, mentoring, and developing team members, creating a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement across all project delivery activities.
