About Your Opportunity

As the Fleet and Mobile Plant Officer, you will be part of a small but vital team that keeps Seqwater’s people moving. This is a hands-on, customer-service focused role supporting the day-to-day operation and asset management of approximately 380 vehicles and 250 mobile plant assets across Seqwater’s geographically diverse business. The role includes travel to operational sites to support fleet operations and customer engagement.

You will be a key point of contact for internal team members, managing the Fleet Inbox, responding to enquiries and helping resolve practical fleet issues in a timely and service-focused way. You will also take accountability for the Pool Vehicle Fleet, helping ensure around 30 vehicles located across Seqwater sites are maintained, clean, available and supported for reliable use.

The role also involves using fleet information systems to prepare reports and provide information to support leaders to make informed decisions. You will liaise with key vendors and suppliers, including SmartFleet, Intellitrac, vehicle maintenance and repair providers and fuel suppliers, to help keep services running smoothly.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the Fleet Inbox, respond to internal customer enquiries and resolve day-to-day fleet, mobile plant and pool vehicle issues in a timely and practical way.
• Coordinate the day-to-day operation, servicing, maintenance, presentation and availability of Seqwater’s pool vehicle fleet across multiple sites.
• Maintain accurate fleet data and prepare reports from Fleet systems to support asset management, utilisation monitoring and leader decision-making.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers, including SmartFleet, IVMS providers, vehicle maintenance and repair providers and fuel suppliers, to coordinate services, resolve issues and support reliable fleet operations.
• Travel to operational sites to support fleet operations, engage with internal customers and help ensure vehicle and mobile plant services are meeting business needs.
• Show initiative, take accountability for allocated tasks and work collaboratively with the Lead Fleet and Mobile Plant to ensure fleet matters are progressed and resolved effectively.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring a practical, service-focused approach and the confidence to take ownership of issues through to resolution.

You will possess:

• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to support internal customers, manage competing requests and liaise confidently with suppliers and service providers.
• Experience coordinating and administering fleet and mobile plant programs, including light vehicles, heavy vehicles and specialised equipment.
• Strong knowledge of fleet operations, maintenance scheduling, asset lifecycle management and regulatory compliance.
• Experience using fleet management systems, IVMS, asset registers and digital reporting tools.
• Ability to analyse fleet utilisation, maintenance and cost data to support optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence.

This position will be offered on a permanent full-time basis with a salary ranging from $93,934.23 - $104,732.74 plus 12.75% superannuation.
