The primary focus of this position is effective undergraduate teaching in the area of professional development within the UA Business LEAD Program. Teaching will consist of 24 credit hours per academic year split roughly evenly between fall and spring semesters. If necessary and appropriate the number of credit hours could be larger in the fall than in the spring to achieve unit objectives. Teaching will be from an existing and evolving curriculum, with this position having the opportunity for curricular input over time. There are three 1-credit hour courses in the LEAD Professional Development Program sequence (GBA 146 for Freshmen; GBA 246 for Sophomores; GBA 346 for Juniors). This position will focus primarily on the Freshmen GBA 146 class. As necessary and appropriate, opportunities may also exist to teach GBA 246 and 346. The successful candidate can expect to be engaged in instructional activities both inside and outside the classroom. Examples of these additional activities include assisting in curriculum development, adjunct instructor training, assisting our LEAD Professional Coaches, supporting student mentoring, and supporting the activities of the LEAD Program. |
