Job Summary: The Concierge greets and directs guests. Provides administrative support. Serves as initial point of contact for guests entering facilities.
Additional Department Summary: Acts as the liaison for all guests, visitors, faculty, staff and students entering the Student Services Center providing direction and support to prospective students and families visiting The University of Alabama. Responds to calls and messages as well as electronic messages. Supports administrative staff and function/operation of the Admissions Office as needed. Support includes coverage during staff absences, office operation support when needed and correspondence.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally, clearly, confidently, and effectively to in-person guests as well as over the phone. Ability to use initiative and seek resolutions to meet guests needs.
