Job Summary: The Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR) Research and Evaluation Project Director oversees all evaluation duties. Ensures data is collected and reported on all required data reports. Ensures data reliability. Executes appropriate statistical analyses for evaluation. Conducts and completes local evaluations of the projects. Reports results to the Principal Investigator and ISSR Director, as well as any required external data platforms designed to meet the requirements of the external funders. Oversees completion and dissemination of all reports, white papers, and other relevant data-related materials.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of research experience; OR master's degree and four (4) years of research experience.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.


Skills and Knowledge: Strong organization skills. Ability to work independently using sound judgment and solid decision-making skills to solve problems. Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to plan and conduct evaluation and lead evaluative efforts. Ability to organize and summarize information in a clear and concise manner. Ability to communicate complex ideas in user-friendly formats. Understanding of contemporary and innovative program evaluation or applied research practices. Ability to gather data using qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods approaches. Competency with appropriate data collection, management, and analysis software (Excel, SPSS, NVIVO, etc.). Familiarity and ability to comply with Federal and state confidentiality requirements and human subjects protection rules for program evaluation research.


Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in social or behavioral science and two (2) years of program evaluation, research methodology, and/or statistical research direction experience. Experience with SPSS, STATA, SAS, SQL, R-Studio, or other statistical software programs. Experience in leading program evaluations.
