Director Health Informatics - 528847
The Director of Health Informatics provides enterprise-level leadership, technical direction, and operational oversight of the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) platform and related technologies serving all University HIPAA-covered entities and clinics. Serves as designated EMR service owner, ensuring system integrity, availability, security enforcement, interoperability, and lifecycle management in coordination with the Office of Information Technology (OIT), UAB Health System, and external partners. Manages and leads one or more teams of IT professionals responsible for the planning, implementation, optimization, and long-term management of the EMR and other key systems. Collaborates with University leadership to develop and execute strategic plans to optimize the use of IT in support of health care and business objectives. Works in conjunction with the University Chief Security Officer to ensure HIPAA security oversight and compliance.

Strategic Research Partnerships Program Manager - 528829
The Strategic Research Partnership Program Manager builds relationships with potential stakeholders in order to develop strategic partnerships and consortiums that foster innovation in research topics and industry sectors identified through the work of Innovate Alabama, defined by the EPSCoR Science and Technology Roadmap, and promoted by the Alabama Department of Commerce’s “Next” campaign.
