Job Summary: The Staff Therapist I provides clinical services to clients.


Additional Department Summary: Provides clinical services to children and youth with illegal sexual behaviors and their families. Services will be delivered via teletherapy on HIPAA-compliant platform. Completes assessments of children and youth. Conducts risk assessments. Helps formulate and implement individualized treatment plans. Provides individual and group counseling services to youth. Coordinate work with a designated treatment team. Travels within the state as necessary to meet with clients, families and professionals at juvenile courts, and community partners.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work. Must be licensure eligible in the State of Alabama.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in a mental-health related field such as counseling, psychology or social work. Social work degree must be from a School of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Persons who provide direct treatment services to youth shall be licensed or license eligible to practice in their professional discipline by the appropriate State of Alabama licensing authority where applicable. Persons who are licensed eligible must obtain their license within one year of employment.


Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience with children or youth with mental or behavior health diagnoses or court-involved children or youth. Experience working with youth with problematic sexual behavior.
