Job Summary: The Continuing Student Temporary Assistant is for recent UA graduates or students temporarily ineligible for student employment (due to enrolment, etc.) who are continuing the work of their student role at the University for a short-term assignment (less than one year). Performs various duties with some variety and complexity for a college or department in support of a program, project, event or other sponsored activity.
Additional Department Summary: This position will work with Dr. Shunqiao Sun on automotive radar signal processing, machine learning and perception for autonomous vehicles.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Some UA student employment experience performing the same work for the department.
Skills and Knowledge: Ability to work on a deep learning networks design, training and validation using PyTorch or TensorFlow. Ability to work on statistical signal processing including detection, estimation, array signal processing and nonlinear optimization.
Ability to follow directions and perform laboratory tasks under direct supervision of a faculty mentor.
