Job Summary: The Executive Director of IT Networking oversees and manages a complex, highly redundant network architecture and infrastructure. Provides strategic direction, supervision, and mentorship to assigned employees, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Advances the professional practices, processes, and documentation for the areas of responsibility and initiates change proposals to realize continuous process improvements.
Additional Department Summary: Supports the Office of Information Technology (OIT) by overseeing and managing a complex, highly redundant network architecture and infrastructure. Provides strategic direction, supervision, and mentorship to assigned employees, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Oversees key operational areas within OIT, specifically Network Engineering, Infrastructure Operations and Enterprise Data Center Operations. Advances the professional practices, processes, and documentation for the areas of responsibility and initiates change proposals to realize continuous process improvements.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree and six (6) years of network engineering experience; OR bachelor's degree and eight (8) years of network engineering experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Skills and Knowledge: This position requires a broad range of technical knowledge as well as personnel management.
