Job Summary: The Executive Director of IT Operations oversees Telecommunications, IT Service Desk, Desktop Support, Systems Engineering and Cloud Infrastructure Services. Provides operational management tasks, team goal setting, personnel management, staff development, team performance monitoring, policy and process development, project facilitation, strategic planning, and process documentation.
Additional Department Summary: Supports the Office of Information Technology (OIT) by overseeing and managing critical IT systems and processes. Provides strategic direction, supervision, and mentorship to assigned employees. Fosters a culture of innovation and excellence. Provides oversight of key operational areas within OIT, specifically Systems Engineering and Cloud Infrastructure Services, Telecommunications, IT Service Desk, and Desktop Support. Advances the professional practices, processes, and documentation for the areas of responsibility and initiates change proposals to realize continuous process improvements.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree and eight (8) years of IT system experience; OR bachelor's degree and ten (10) years of IT system experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Broad range of technical knowledge. Experience with personnel management.
