Job Summary: The Fraternity and Sorority Life Coordinator supports the work of the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life in assigned areas. Provides direct support, oversight, and programming for students in the fraternity and sorority community. Collaborates with students, advisors, and other stakeholders to advance the Fraternity and Sorority community at The University of Alabama.

UA's Greek Life consists of 70+ social fraternities and sororities including 50 chapter housing facilities with approximately 1,900 residents.
Leads the development and implementation of impactful, theory-based safety, and wellbeing education and programming focused on hazing prevention, bystander intervention, holistic wellness, and overall risk reduction within fraternity and sorority life. Promotes a strategic, multidisciplinary approach to holistic student support that is aligned with The Alabama Model of Student Health and Wellbeing. Serves as a resource for students, families, staff, and key stakeholders, supporting compliance with university policies through training, oversight of social event submissions, and coordination with UA campus partners. Advises student peer educator programs, fostering leadership, and maintaining strong campus and community partnerships. Engages in professional development and university initiatives supports both personal growth and institutional advancement. Reports to the Assistant Director. Completes required training and promotes a safe, hospitable, and respectful workplace. Follows internal processes and controls as outlined in University policies and procedures.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher.
Skills and Knowledge: Ability to facilitate presentations and training workshops. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs. Knowledge of NASPA/ACPA Professional Competency Areas for Student Affairs Educators. Ability to handle sensitive and privileged information. Ability to maintain knowledge of regulations regarding student privacy and information sharing. Knowledge of assessment tools. Ability to collaborate with stakeholders on campus and in community. Demonstrated commitment to fostering community and belonging. Personal values aligned with divisional values of advocacy, community and excellence.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in risk management or a health-related field and two (2) years of experience in student programming and development, risk management, health promotion and wellness, health science, or related field; OR Master's degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, Health Policy, Health Education, Student Affairs, College Student Personnel, Higher Education or related field and one (1) year of professional leadership experience in a higher education setting. Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or Certified in Public Health (CPH); Certified Wellness Coach; Certified Peer Educator (CPE); or eligible and intent to become certified. Affiliation with an Inter/National Greek-letter organization.
