Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm


Job Summary: The Career Center Program Manager provides oversight and planning for the development, implementation, and delivery of program(s), service(s), and/or activity(ies) within the Career Center. Coordinates career development and engagement efforts. Provides oversight for career-related outreach and marketing to students, alumni, and prospective students.


Additional Department Summary: Coordinates career development and engagement efforts within the College of Communication & Information Sciences, through collaboration with the central Career Center as well as CC&IS staff and faculty. Aides the CC&IS Office of Student Services in the overall engagement and development of C&IS students. Works alongside administration, faculty, and staff in order to maximize the delivery of services for all C&IS students. Stays current on industry trends and develops a student outreach plan based on the needs of the individual disciplines within the College. Advises students on resume preparation and development, professional correspondence, interviewing skills, job search strategies, employer research, informational interviewing and networking. Collaborates with other program managers in order to maximize delivery of programs, resources, and services. Works with other related staff in order to enhance career development for students. Completes required training and promoting a safe, hospitable, and respectful workplace. Has personal accountability for financial reporting and responsibility for establishing, enforcing, and following internal processes and controls as outlined in UA policies and procedures.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of career advising or employer relations experience; OR master's degree and some career advising or employer relations experience.


Skills and Knowledge: Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with campus partners and other stakeholder. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong organization and written skills. Demonstrates commitment to supporting all students.


Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in communications, student personnel, human resources, counseling, higher education or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in career services in a University setting. Previous academic or work experience in Communications or a related field.
