Job Summary: The Event Planner conceptualizes event theme, itinerary, etc. Develops and manages event budgets. Oversees the implementation, execution, and follow-up for events hosted on- and off-campus. Creates invitations. Selects sites. Creates seating arrangements. Negotiates with florist, caterers, event space staff, print shops, etc. Manages on-site contract staff, students, and etc.
Additional Department Summary: Coordinates, plans, directs, manages, and executes gymnastics home meets and other program relations while enhancing the fan experience and maintaining positive revenue contributions.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of event planning or coordination experience; OR master's degree.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to work nights and weekends and travel with team on Event sites.
Skills and Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of social media marketing industry. Ability to create graphics and use photoshop. Impeccable verbal and written communication skills. Well-organized with great time management skills. Outstanding project management skills. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Networking aptitude. Ability to manage and motivate people. Decision-making leadership.
Preferred Qualifications: Event experience in Sports/Entertainment/Production with 10,000 or more guests. Superior knowledge of budget planning and execution. Project Management Calendar Management Program Agenda & Budget Home Meets. Video-editing knowledge.
