Job Summary: The Manager of IT Infrastructure Operations oversees and coordinates the daily operations of the Infrastructure Technicians. Manages the scheduling of events or work orders for operational and project work across campus. Works closely with construction administration, facilities, OIT project coordinators, and OIT network engineers to plan for future cable paths and protect campus fiber and copper plant. Documents network infrastructure both underground cable plant and campus building network and fiber paths.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree and two (2) years of network and telephone technical experience; OR bachelor's degree and four (4) years of network and telephone technical experience; OR associates and six (6) years of network and telephone technical experience; OR High school diploma or GED and eight (8) years of network and telephone technical experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of network and telecom processes.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in CATV and VoIP installation and troubleshooting. Knowledge of campus underground and building network infrastructure. Five (5) years of Cisco network switch installations and troubleshooting. Five (5) years splicing, terminating, and testing copper and fiber optics.
