Job Summary: The Manager of Registration Services oversee the daily business operations of the registration team, ensuring seamless, efficient, and customer-centered service. Supervises and mentors a team of registration staff, cultivating a collaborative and high-performing work culture while managing staffing, training, and resource allocation to meet evolving departmental goals. Provides proactive workforce planning, including forecasting peak-period needs, overtime, and flex time. Identifies and implements best practices in registration services, technology, and customer experience. Drives alignment of registration processes and business operations, building strong partnerships and supporting institutional innovation. Oversees Certificate Education Units (CEU) awarding and verification, ensuring accurate documentation and timely distribution. Maintains historical records and ensures regulatory compliance.

Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), champions continuous improvement strategies, and ensures the optimal performance of all customer-facing processes, systems, and tools. Helps grow the microcredential and professional development portfolio, helping expand opportunities for learners in Alabama and beyond. Manages the insurance exam eligibility process in accordance with Alabama Department of Insurance requirements. Oversees the department’s budget, forecasting credit card fees and related financial considerations, and ensuring resources are effectively managed. Maintains and enforces PCI compliance initiatives across OTIDE, safeguarding both operational integrity and customer trust.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience; OR master's degree and two (2) years of experience.


Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.


Skills and Knowledge: Ability to collaborate, communicate, and build strong relationships across departments. Strong leadership, integrity, professionalism, and team management skills. Strategic thinking and ability to drive process improvements. High attention to detail and analytical mindset. Ability to collaborate, communicate, and build strong relationships across departments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant business software. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously while establishing and meeting competing goals and deadlines. Familiarity with budgeting for staffing, including forecasting overtime and managing departmental costs.


Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Business, Education, Communications, or related technical field. Two (2) years of management or leadership experience in higher education or a registration services environment. Experience managing payment handling responsibilities. Experience with data analysis and process improvement. Strong understanding of student information systems, registration platforms, and payment handling procedures, including PCI compliance. Familiarity with CEU guidelines, processes, and record-keeping.
