SW - Associate Professor or Full Professor of Social Work - Tenured, DSW Program Director - 528238
The University of Alabama School of Social Work invites applications for one (1) 12-month faculty appointment at the rank of Associate Professor (tenured) or Professor (tenured) to begin August 2026, with the opportunity to begin July 1, 2026. This position will also serve as DSW Program Director. High priority areas include behavioral health, health disparities, poverty, and asset or strengths-based community approaches. Candidates with scholarship expertise in other areas are also encouraged to apply. The committee will strongly consider all areas that complement current faculty research and/or needs of the State of Alabama. The position requires a Social Work doctoral degree or a closely related discipline and an MSW. A minimum of two years post-MSW practice experience is preferred. This is not a remote position.

The University of Alabama School of Social Work invites applications for two (2) faculty appointments at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor (Renewable Contract, Non-Tenure-Track) to begin August 2026. Successful candidates must have an MSW degree from a CSWE -accredited institution, at least three years of post-MSW social work experience, and a doctorate degree. A DSW or PhD in social work degree is preferred, though a doctoral degree in a related discipline will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who: (1) have teaching and curriculum development experience, especially as it pertains to best practices in online education; (2) have knowledge of social work evaluation methodologies and experience in evaluating practice; (3) have experience mentoring graduate students; and (4) have post-DSW/PhD practice experience. This is not a remote position.

Culverhouse - Kelly LEAD Instructor - 528224
The primary focus of this position is effective undergraduate teaching in professional development within the R. James Kelly LEAD Program. Teaching will consist of 24 credit hours per academic year split roughly evenly between fall and spring semesters. If necessary and appropriate, the number of credit hours could be larger in the fall than in the spring to achieve unit objectives. Teaching will be from an existing and evolving curriculum, with this position having the opportunity for curricular input over time. There are three 1-credit hour courses in the Kelly LEAD Professional Development sequence (GBA 146 for freshmen; GBA 246 for sophomores; GBA 346 for juniors), and one 2-credit hour course, GBA 247, for transfer and change of college students. This position will focus primarily on the freshmen GBA 146 class. As necessary and appropriate, opportunities may also exist to teach GBA 246, GBA 247 and, GBA 346. The successful candidate can expect to be engaged in instructional activities both inside and outside the classroom. Examples of these additional activities include assisting in curriculum development, adjunct instructor training, assisting our LEAD Professional Development Coaches, supporting student mentoring, and supporting other initiatives of the Kelly LEAD Program.
Plumber Utility Mechanic I - 528230
The Plumber Utility Mechanic I assists in the fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of heating, plumbing, mechanical piping systems, structural steel, package boiler equipment and water treatment, kitchen equipment, auxiliary equipment, steam, water, gas systems and other building mechanical equipment; auxiliary equipment, steam, water, sewers both sanitary and storm, irrigation systems gas and air systems and other building mechanical equipment; above and underground steam, domestic water, HVAC (chilled and hot water), sanitary and storm distribution systems; firing, tending and maintaining pressure boilers to supply heat for buildings and domestic hot water.
