Job Summary: The College Scholarship and Stewardship Coordinator creates process and procedures and oversees the administration of annual scholarship and endowed accounts for a large college. Oversees award decisions and stewardship of scholarships. Creates processes and procedures for departmental scholarship decisions ensuring that departments are handling the scholarship processes and procedures appropriately within their departments. Provides guidance for departmental award decisions. Maintains detailed database of all scholarship funds available, their source, and MOA award criteria. Reviews and updates database regularly to ensure that all scholarship funds are being appropriately allocated. Establishes and executes stewardship guidelines and stewardship plans for all College endowments and gift funds.


Additional Department Summary: Chairs Culverhouse Scholarship Committee working with department heads and college awarders directing scholarship funds to student accounts in a timely manner. Works with University Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid office to ensure scholarships are awarded and have a sufficient number of applications. Holds sole responsibility for development and maintenance of currently enrolled undergraduate scholarship applications. Sends and communicates stewardship information annually to donors, providing accountability of how scholarship funds are disbursed and any other information required by donor stipulations. Oversees management and disbursement of emergency scholarship funds. Manages the College’s 440+ scholarships (over $5.4 million) and directs six departments and programs in the management of accounts and scholarship awarding processes. Establishes and executes stewardship guidelines and stewardship plans for each of the College’s 500+ endowments and 100+ gift funds.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of scholarship or financial aid experience; OR master's degree or higher and some scholarship or financial aid experience.


Preferred Qualifications: Experience in scholarship awarding.
