Job Summary: The Crimson Scholars Program Coordinator I assists with the daily administration of the Crimson Scholars program in First Year Experience. Implements curriculum for the Crimson Scholars program. Manages mentor team selection. Oversees administrative tasks such as attendance tracking for student scholarship requirements.
Additional Department Summary: The Crimson Scholars Program Coordinator assists the Program Manager with the daily administration of the Crimson Scholars program in First Year Experience. Executes and implements curriculum for the Crimson Scholars program (a support program for limited-income students). Meets with an assigned caseload of students in the cohort individually and provides outreach at critical points throughout the academic year.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Must be able to work nights and weekends when needed.
Skills and Knowledge: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and program coordination skills. Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff in a collaborative manner. Strong relationship building skills.
Demonstrated commitment to expand multicultural knowledge, awareness, and skills as evidenced through: demonstrating self awareness; understanding and valuing others; demonstrating knowledge of social inequalities; interacting effectively with people.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Social Work, or Counseling. Some program development, program coordination, and case management experience. Some undergraduate supervision experience.
