Job Summary: The Instructional Technologist III uses pedagogically sound principles to assist faculty with the integration of technology into instruction to enhance teaching and learning. Provides leadership to the team. Collaborates with the faculty development and learning resources administrative staff to provide instructional technology information and resolve issues. May train, assist, or supervise entry level staff.
Additional Department Summary: Provides leadership in exam administration and instructional tool implementation, including Blackboard Ultra, ATI testing platforms, and associated tools and integrations. Collaborates with the CCN IT team, CIT, and other academic units on technology-related projects and initiatives. Represents CCN in campus-wide instructional technology meetings, committees, and events. Leads support for Blackboard Ultra and ATI exams by coordinating with faculty, staff, and student workers. Assists with operational tasks such as listserv administration, web content maintenance, and system updates. Provides functional guidance to staff and student employees. Supports education and cross‑functional instructional technology initiatives. Creates and maintains documentation and leads training activities for instructional tools and technologies. Provides consultations on pedagogically effective technology use and stays current with evolving trends in digital learning, accessibility, and instructional design.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of instructional technology experience; OR master's degree and two (2) years of instructional technology experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to design and deliver instructional materials, documentation, and training. Strong communication, problem‑solving, and customer service skills. Ability to work well in a team environment and meet deadlines. Ability to lead team members. Proven experience in course creation, editing, archiving, and support within Blackboard Ultra. Proficiency with instructional tools such as Panopto and related academic technologies. Familiarity with Outlook, Teams, Zoom, Microsoft Office, Adobe applications, and WordPress. Working knowledge of basic desktop support for PCs and related peripherals.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with faculty in a higher‑education environment. Familiarity with Crestron, FERPA, HIPAA, and secure testing environments.
