Job Summary: The College Research Coordinator I assists researchers and staff within a department, unit, or college with proposal preparation and review, proposal budget development, award administration, and related activities under general supervision. Provides guidance on compliance with Federal, State, and Local government regulations related to pre-award and/or post-award sponsored project activities. Participates in training as required by the Office for Research & Economic Development and serves as a liaison for the college to ORED.
Additional Department Summary: Assists the Executive Director with overall administration of the Center to include financial management, sponsored program management, UA and UA System compliance, federal and state grant compliance, and program logistics.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher.
Skills and Knowledge: Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work with professional staff and student interns. Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Goal-oriented. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Self-motivated and self-directed. Comfortable in both leadership and team-player roles. Working knowledge of various computer programs with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel). Knowledge of federal and state grant management practices and budget management practices.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Google Workspace, Banner, and University contract management systems.
