Job Summary: The Residency Coordinator serves as the point of contact for inquiries regarding residency for tuition purposes at The University of Alabama.
Additional Department Summary: Supports student services functions that are involved with military-affiliated students and the certification of education and employment benefits. Serves as the point of contact for residency, Study Abroad, Military Service Accommodations, major and/or minors and changes, and other academic and financial processes. Coordinates and collaborates with academic colleges, the registrar, financial aid, admissions, local Veteran's Administration, and other campus and community stakeholders.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher.
Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of UA admissions, residency, and other academic policies. Excellent communication skills with students, families, external constituents, and a wide array of campus partners. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service and attention to detail. Demonstrated commitment to supporting all students.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with military-affiliated students and/or the VA Education Benefits Certification process. Experience working in a collegiate environment.
