Job Summary: The Employer Relations Coordinator implements employer development initiatives, engages with employers, and establishes long-term relationships to create full-time employment and experiential education opportunities for students and alumni.
Additional Department Summary: The Employer Relations Coordinator is responsible for the comprehensive management of recruiting activities including on-campus interviews, organizing the selection process of students, company informational sessions, employer information sessions/receptions, and the posting of available positions in the online recruiting system.
This position is responsible for the oversight of on-campus recruitment related data compilation and ensuring accurate information is provided in a timely manner in the online recruiting system. This position engages in extensive communication between external and internal constituencies to ensure that they are properly informed of employment and internship opportunities and the procedures for participating in the college relations and recruitment programs. High levels of interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and public relations skills and excellent customer service skills are essential for are essential for successful performance in this position. These duties are performed under tight deadlines, and require accuracy in executing operational tasks.
Responsible for completing required training and promoting a safe, hospitable, and respectful workplace.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of recruiting, career advising, alumni and parent relations, and/or employer relations/development experience; OR master's degree and some recruiting, career advising, alumni and parent relations, and/or employer relations/development experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Strong communication and organizational skills are required. Experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously and effective performance within a team environment. Proficiency in the operation of personal computers and software is also critical, notably exposure to and experience with online recruiting systems. Excellent customer service focus is essential. This position necessitate tremendous organizational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks successfully at a fast pace. The ability to learn new skills quickly is beneficial to success in this position.
