Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm


Job Summary: The Housing and Residential Conduct Coordinator provides overall leadership and supervision for the departmental student conduct process assessment, training, and coordination of related departmental policies and procedures. Works cooperatively with Residential Communities and other Housing and Residential Communities (HRC) staff and supervisors to track specific problem behaviors and implement creative educational sanctions to eliminate such behaviors. Educates students on how their behavior negatively affects the residential communities. Develops, implements, and assesses initiatives and programs. Works closely with the Office of Student Conduct and Dean of Students office on Code of Student Conduct issues.


Additional Department Summary: Completes required training and promotes a safe, hospitable, and respectful workplace.
Has personal accountability for financial reporting and responsibility for establishing, enforcing, and following internal processes and controls as outlined in UA policies and procedures.

This position requires extra hours work during peak periods such as during Health and Safety Checks, staff training, and closing of the halls.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher.


Skills and Knowledge: Familiarity with student development theory. Ability to deal objectively and tactfully with sensitive, confidential disciplinary issues. Ability to communicate and work effectively with students, faculty, and administrative personnel. Problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work with emotionally charged situations. Ability to be flexible and creative. Superior organizational skills. Excellent critical thinking skills.


Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a related field. Investigation and adjudication experience in higher education with behavioral and non-academic misconduct. Experience working with student organizations in a conduct setting. Some experience with hearing student judicial cases and/or crisis response. Familiarity with Maxient conduct database management system.
