Job Summary: The Assistant Director of Regional Receptions and Specialized Recruitment provides support, leadership, and direction for strategic recruitment receptions and specialized recruitment events. Provides direction for venue selection, contracting, developing menus, and overseeing scheduling the events. Develop strategies to keep recruiters informed of new initiatives and policies pertaining to receptions and counselor briefings. Uses recruiters to develop ideas for enhancing receptions and counselor briefings.
Additional Department Summary: Acts as liaison with the Office of Alumni Affairs. Directs student and parent volunteers to work with recruitment field staff.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of recruitment, university admissions, public relations, marketing, sales, or communications experience; OR master's degree and four (4) years of recruitment, university admissions, public relations, marketing, sales, or communications experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in admissions work or other related background in higher education administration such as advancement (alumni), student affairs, student involvement, etc.
