Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; some evenings & weekends.
Job Summary: The Camellia Center Program Coordinator oversees and coordinates program(s) that further the mission of the Center.
Additional Department Summary: Implements the center's mission through coordination of interpersonal violence (IPV) prevention and education presentations for the campus community. Coordinates campus programs for Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Manages center student engagement, leadership, and volunteerism in the development, coordination, and assessment of student peer education/leader programs related to IPV (i.e. Ambassadors, Greek Safe, etc.). Coordinates center IPV-related book club for campus and community. Provides center assessment and marketing activities related to the position's center role and programs, and center communications via social media platforms. Serves as center liaison. Completes required training and promotes a safe, hospitable, and respectful workplace. Has personal accountability for financial reporting and responsibility for establishing, enforcing, and following internal processes and controls as outlined in UA policies and procedures. Holds student staff accountable for completion of required training.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher.
Skills and Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate sound judgment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal (including public speaking) and written. Strong human relations skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to work with different groups of people and commitment to support all students.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in public health, health education, women's/gender studies, communication studies, human development and family studies, educational leadership, higher education, social sciences, or other relevant field. One (1) year of related work experience. Experience in working with college students and/or in a supervisory capacity. Experience in violence prevention, health promotion/education, program planning, leadership and/or mentorship development, community organizing and volunteer management. Experience working with and supervising college students. Experience with campus and community resources. Teaching/training experience with adult learners.
