Job Summary: The Workday Business Analyst I assists in gathering and documenting business requirements, user stories, and process descriptions for Workday configuration and security activities. Creates and maintains process documentation, workflow diagrams, and meeting notes under the direction of senior team members. Performs data entry, data validation, and basic data analysis tasks in support of Workday application management activities. Supports cross-functional coordination efforts by maintaining shared team resources and documentation repositories. Assists in coordinating meetings, tracking action items, and following up with stakeholders on outstanding deliverables. Works closely with functional teams to ensure accurate and timely provisioning in alignment with institutional access controls.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher and some experience supporting or working with Workday or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.


Skills and Knowledge: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to organize and clearly present information. Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and respond positively to guidance and feedback.


Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, public administration, or a related field. Internship or coursework experience in business analysis, information systems, project coordination, or a related discipline. Exposure to ERP systems or enterprise software (Workday, Banner, PeopleSoft, or similar). Familiarity with process mapping tools such as Microsoft Visio or Lucidchart. Experience working in a university, public sector, or large organizational setting. Interest in pursuing professional development in business analysis (e.g. IIBA ECBA certification).
