Job Summary: The SafeState Environmental Accreditation Program Manager provides Environmental Management Systems (EMS) consultation through direct, on-site consultation to business directed toward the implementation of systemic environmental management systems promoting business sustainability as well as regulatory compliance. Cultivates revenue-generating relationships with individuals, business, industry, professional associations and any other organizations in need of environmental compliance or management assistance.
Additional Department Summary: Oversees the Environmental Accreditation Program and ensures compliance and quality of participating training programs.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in public health, environmental health, environmental management, environmental engineering, geology, chemistry, biology, engineering technology, or industrial hygiene and four (4) years of experience in the management of environmental assessment/remediation projects, occupationally related accreditation/certification programs, a business in the environmental, safety, and/or health fields, or consulting, designing, or implementing environmental management systems; OR master's degree in public health, environmental health, environmental management, environmental engineering, geology, chemistry, biology, engineering technology, or industrial hygiene and two (2) years of experience in the management of environmental assessment/remediation projects, occupationally related accreditation/certification programs, a business in the environmental, safety, and/or health fields, or consulting, designing, or implementing environmental management systems.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Ability to travel occasionally to in-state and out-of-state locations.
Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of computerized database management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Human relations, management, and supervisory skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of process management principles, such as Six Sigma certification. Experience in new business development. Familiarity with ISO 140001 standards
