Job Summary: The Education Outreach Coordinator develops, manages, and implements quality educational programs for students, families, and adult audiences.
Additional Department Summary: Supports the West Alabama Cardiovascular Health (WACH) Program by developing and implementing educational initiatives that improve community understanding of cardiovascular health, health promotion, and evidence-based prevention strategies. Works collaboratively with faculty, healthcare providers, community partners, and program staff to facilitate the translation of research findings and public health information into educational resources and learning opportunities that support community engagement and health literacy. Develops, coordinates, and evaluates educational materials and learning resources for community members, patients, healthcare providers, students, and community stakeholders. Supports health education workshops, community training activities, and outreach events. Collaborates with faculty and subject matter experts to ensure educational content reflects current evidence and best practices. Assists with participant and community education efforts related to WACH initiatives. Contributes to the development of curricula, training modules, toolkits, and other educational resources that advance program goals.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of educational work experience; OR Master's degree and some educational work experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Strong organizational skills. Attention to detail. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and community partners.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree. Experience developing educational materials or supporting community-based programs.
