Job Summary: The College Scholarship and Stewardship Coordinator creates process and procedures and oversees the administration of annual scholarship and endowed accounts for a college. Oversees award decisions and stewardship of scholarships. Creates processes and procedures for departmental scholarship decisions ensuring that departments are handling the scholarship processes and procedures appropriately within their departments. Provides guidance for departmental award decisions. Maintains detailed database of all scholarship funds available, their source, and MOA award criteria. Reviews and updates database regularly to ensure that all scholarship funds are being appropriately allocated. Establishes and executes stewardship guidelines and stewardship plans for all college endowments and gift funds.


Additional Department Summary: Manages the administration, awarding, tracking, and stewardship of Capstone College of Nursing scholarship, endowment, and gift funds. Coordinates scholarship processes across academic programs. Ensures compliance with donor agreements and eligibility requirements. Monitors fund usage and balances. Maintains scholarship records and reports. Serves as the primary resource for students, faculty, and staff regarding scholarship opportunities.

Leads stewardship efforts by coordinating donor communications, scholarship impact reporting, and recipient acknowledgments to ensure accountability and strengthen donor relationships. In partnership with Financial Affairs, Advancement, Admissions, Financial Aid, and academic programs, supports the effective management of scholarship, endowment, and support funds to advance student success and institutional priorities. Works closely with CCN Leadership, academic program directors and faculty, Director of Financial Affairs and Financial Affairs staff, Advancement and Development personnel, Undergraduate Admissions, Office of Scholarships, Office of Student Financial Aid, students and scholarship recipients, scholarship donors, and external stakeholders.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of scholarship, stewardship, or financial aid experience; OR master's degree or higher and some scholarship, stewardship, or financial aid experience.


Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of scholarship and donor-funded program administration. Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and donor agreements. Strong financial and analytical aptitude. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities. Ability to communicate effectively with students, donors, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders. Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality. Commitment to student success and responsible stewardship of donor resources.


Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, business administration, communications, public administration, education, or a related field. Experience administering scholarships, endowments, gift funds, or donor-restricted funds. Experience and familiarity with Blackbaud Award Management (AcademicWorks), ASAM, Banner, or similar systems. Experience with donor stewardship, impact reporting, fund reconciliation, and compliance monitoring. Experience monitoring fund balances, forecasting scholarship availability, and preparing financial or programmatic reports. Familiarity with higher education financial aid, scholarship administration, recruitment, retention, and student success initiatives. Experience interpreting and managing donor agreements, MOAs, and restricted funding requirements. Experience collaborating with academic units, advancement offices, financial affairs personnel, and student services teams. Experience analyzing data and utilizing metrics to assess scholarship effectiveness and student outcomes.
