Contract Specialist I - Minimum: $62,800 - Midpoint: $81,700 (Salaried E10)
Contract Specialist II - Minimum: $69,200 - Midpoint: $89,900 (Salaried E11)

Job Summary:
Contract Specialist I - The Contract Specialist I, working under limited supervision, ensures contract compliance with applicable laws, University policies, and best practices.
Contract Specialist II - The Contract Specialist II, working with minimal supervision, ensures contract compliance with applicable laws, University policies, and best practices. Independently interprets policy language and procedures when guidance is not explicit. Resolves complex issues.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Contract Specialist I - Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience in contract management, negotiation, development, and/or compliance; OR master's degree and two (2) years of experience in contract management, negotiation, development, and/or compliance; OR juris doctorate and one (1) year of experience in contract management, negotiation, development, and/or compliance.
Contract Specialist II - Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of experience in contract management, negotiation, development, and/or compliance; OR master's degree and four (4) years of experience in contract management, negotiation, development, and/or compliance; OR juris doctorate and three (3) years of experience in contract management, negotiation, development, and/or compliance.
Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience working within Contract Management. History of increasing workplace responsibility and experience, preferably in an institution of higher education's Contract Management or Purchasing department. Significant knowledge of business law, compliance, and contract management. A JD, CPPM, CPPO, or equivalent certification as well as experience using UA systems (Agiloft/ESM, OnBase, JustFOIA, etc.)
