Job Summary: The Dual Career and Faculty Family Support Program Director provides institution-level leadership for a comprehensive strategy that strengthens faculty recruitment, transition, engagement, and retention by addressing the interconnected professional and personal factors that shape faculty career decisions. Establishes the vision, infrastructure, partnerships, and service standards for the University's dual career and faculty family support portfolio. Provides support and services to prospective and current faculty and their families across the recruitment, relocation, transition, and retention continuum.
Additional Department Summary: Advises senior academic leaders on dual career and faculty family needs. Advances coordinated approaches across colleges, Human Resources, and campus and community partners. Works closely with the leadership to identify systemic barriers, develops institution-wide policy and practice recommendations, cultivates regional networks, and uses data and stakeholder insight to strengthen the University's capacity to attract and retain exceptional faculty. Serves as the University's principal resource on dual career and faculty family support.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience; OR master's degree and two (2) years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in social work, counseling, higher education administration, human resources, public administration, organizational leadership, or a related field and five or more years of related experience. Experience in higher education, human services, career services, workforce development, human resources, community engagement, or employee and faculty support. Relevant professional licensure or certification. Demonstrated experience leading organization-wide initiatives, advising senior leaders, supporting recruitment and retention, cultivating partnerships, and assessing program effectiveness.
