The Programmer Analyst III designs, develops, supports, and codes moderate- to high-complexity software and hardware systems to support the administrative function of the University under minimal supervision. This may include enterprise and highly critical applications. Develops processes and web applications. Creates workflows. Installs, customizes, supports, and creates integrations for vendor-supplied software systems. Works on a team and collaborates with specific departments, colleges, and customers around campus. Supports their needs, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and responding to their questions and concerns in a timely manner.
Director Health Informatics - 530102
The Director of Health Informatics provides enterprise-level leadership, technical direction, and operational oversight of the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) platform and related technologies serving all University HIPAA-covered entities and clinics. Serves as designated EMR service owner, ensuring system integrity, availability, security enforcement, interoperability, and lifecycle management in coordination with the Office of Information Technology (OIT), UAB Health System, and external partners. Manages and leads one or more teams of IT professionals responsible for the planning, implementation, optimization, and long-term management of the EMR and other key systems. Collaborates with University leadership to develop and execute strategic plans to optimize the use of IT in support of health care and business objectives. Works in conjunction with the University Chief Security Officer to ensure HIPAA security oversight and compliance.
