For every child, a champion

The UNICEF Ecuador office contributes to the implementation of the country program with funds raised by the fundraising team. To obtain these funds, the team uses various fundraising channels to convert prospects into donors, who continue supporting the cause with recurring monthly donations for as long as possible.

Fundraising is done through acquisition channels such as Face to Face, Telemarketing, Digital, and DRTV. The CO plans to continue mobilizing financial resources to cover the requirements of the Ecuador CPD, as well as to generate funds for regular resources, regional thematic funds, and emergencies.

The F2F channel is the main source of new recurring donors for UNICEF Ecuador, so a F2F coordinator is needed to achieve the best fundraising results through this channel.

How can you make a difference? 

Under the close supervision from the Acquisition Channels Associate and general guidance from the Individual Fundraiser Officer NO-B, this role supports the donor acquisition area. The main responsibilities include assisting with the planning, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, and implementation of corrective actions to enhance the performance management of Face-to-Face (F2F) campaigns.

The Face-to-Face Assistant will closely coordinate, supervise and monitor the F2F agencies and fundraisers ensuring excellent and significant outcomes in the F2F donor acquisition campaigns.

Responsibilities :

  1. Provide technical support to the preparation of the face-to-face fundraising plan and campaigns calendar, objectives, metrics and KPIs.
  • Prepare and analyze the campaigns KPIs and the investment requirements.
  • Provide technical support in the establishment of campaign KPIs and criteria (reporting, systems, performance evaluation, goals)
  • Prepare preliminary documentation of the project, work plans, budgets and proposals for implementation agreements.
  1. Effective coordintation of the implementation of face-to-face campaigns, focusing on human resources aspects (such as recruitment, training, motivation) and quality of work. Most of these activities must be performed closer to the fundraisers and the providers (in field).
  • Determine the schema and human resources needs taking into consideration the campaign goals.
  • Provide technical support for the negotiation and agreements with suppliers.
  • Establish the selection criteria of human resources for the outsourced individual fundraising campaigns.
  • Establish training and motivation layouts for outsourced human resources and providers.
  • Design and implement schemes for the continuous improvement of the quality of donors acquired through the F2F channel.
  1. Regular monitoring and evaluation activities undertaken according to the work plan to ensure maximum impact and continuous improvement of face-to-face fundraising efforts. Results and reports are prepared and shared on a timely basis.
  • Monitor and prepare reports for the supervisor of the agreed performance indicators to drive more efficient management and accountability for results.
  • Research, synthesize and compile qualitative and quantitative data and information to facilitate preparation of reports, objectives, activities, etc.
  1. Administrative tasks and responsibilities are effectively carried out and delivered.
  • Provide technical support to search and evaluate potential suppliers, prepare terms of reference for quotations. Follow up quotation process.
  • Participate in CRC and other administrative mechanisms in those cases related to administrative issues.
  • Monitors budgets and financial expenditures of section, ensuring compliance with UNICEF rules and regulations, keeping supervisor informed and advised on actions for decision/follow up.

Minimum requirements:

  • Education: Completion of Secondary School. Technical and/or University level courses in marketing, sales, publicity, communication, business administration, international relations or related areas will be an asset.
  • Work Experience: At least 5 years of relevant work experience in contact/call centers, face to face activities, direct sales, networking business, commercial impulse, strengthening of payment methods, direct marketing agencies and/or individual fundraising areas.
  • Skills: Must have experience in analyzing results or data, as well as in reading and tracking indicators.
  • Language Requirements: Excellent communication (fluency) and writing skills in Spanish is required.
  • Working knowledge of English is required.

Desirables:

  • Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency.
