For every child, a Champion 

The PFP Individual Giving section based in Geneva is a lead participant in the Supporter Engagement Strategy (SES), which aims to increase the global acquisition and engagement of UNICEF’s diverse supporter base, including donors, advocates, and volunteers. A key part of the strategy is to replace incumbent CRM systems currently in place in 21 country offices with Salesforce-based technology, including current implementation projects in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, and Peru.  

The Fundraising Specialist (SES Business Process and Systems) will ensure that the Salesforce platform is optimized for individual giving (IG) fundraising performance and aligned with UNICEF standards.  

How can you make a difference?  

Implementation Support 

  • Understand the technological solution (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, data points, segmentation, and sync between both systems) in terms of standard Salesforce, non-profit success pack, core packages, configuration, customization, and integrations with a view to recommending product enhancements and future improvements.  
  • Guide country offices to ensure they are at the correct stage of readiness for implementation by helping with resource planning, technology solutions or recommendations, and project timeline and process awareness. 
  • Collaborate with ICTD, IG, country offices, and SES implementation partners in an Agile framework (e.g., sprint planning, backlog grooming). 
  • Document current ("as-is") and future ("to-be") business processes using process maps and user stories. 
  • Support solution design by translating business requirements into global and localized functionalities.  
  • Provide oversight and support during implementation, go-live, and post-go-live phases, including onsite visits as needed. 
  • Contribute to the development and review of Deployment Suite assets and country guidance. 

Business Uplift (BAU) Support 

  • Ensure continuous improvement of the Salesforce platform post-implementation, identifying opportunities for business uplift and streamlining processes with a broader view of standardization and compliance. 
  • Prioritize and escalate bug fixes and enhancement requests. 
  • Maintain data hygiene, standardization, and adherence to coding structures and campaign hierarchies. 
  • Support the development and testing of supporter journeys in collaboration with country offices. 
  • Promote the use of standards, frameworks, and best practices across all markets. 
  • Monitor system usage and performance, advising markets on ongoing data analytics workstreams (such as rich data metrics and dashboards) and ensuring alignment with fund-raising objectives. 

Cross-Cutting Responsibilities 

  • Work closely with the IG team to inform business decisions from a fundraising and supporter experience perspective, considering cost and ROI.
  • Support regional Business Analysts and provide inputs into solution design. 
  • Ensure compliance with global standards while accommodating local market needs. 
  • Manage a clear development roadmap for each office, ensuring resource availability and alignment with strategic goals. 
  • Research and recommend local payment solutions based on technical and business feasibility. 
DELIVERABLES: 

Implementation 

  • Comprehensive business requirements for country offices documented as user stories. 
  • Categorisation of user needs into global and localised functionalities. 
  • Provide inputs into solution design taking global and localised requirements into account. 
  • Readiness Checklists and go-live prioritization plans for implementing offices. 

Business Uplift (BAU) Support 

  • Ongoing support plans for each office, ensuring optimal use of the SES platform and business performance uplift.
  • Standards and best practices documentation for system use and data management. 
  • Business cases for system upgrades and new feature adoption. 

Cross-Cutting Responsibilities 

  • Ongoing support and guidance to regional Business Analysts. 
  • Research and recommend payment solutions in the local market based on business and technical considerations and limitations.

Working Place: 

  • Geneva, Switzerland, is the official duty station. (Flexible work arrangements may be applied if there is a need.) 

To qualify as a Champion for every child, you will have… 

Education:  

  • An advanced university degree in marketing, management information systems, computer science, business administration, information technology management or other related social science field is required. 
  • Alternatively, a first-level University Degree in a relevant field combined with (2) additional years of qualifying professional experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. 
Experience:  
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in fundraising, especially individual giving processes along with transaction/income processing, with at least four (4) years’ experience in Salesforce (Sales and Marketing Cloud), is required.
  • Proven experience in Salesforce implementation, preferably in a non-profit or fundraising context, is required. 
  • Experience in writing business requirements, process design, analytical skills (e.g. using stories and working closely with developers in AGILE environment), and providing support services, technical assistance, and customer care is required.  
  • Experience with private sector partnerships and/or fundraising is an asset. 
  • Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is an asset. 
  • Experience supporting projects involving local payment solutions integration within CRM systems is required. 

Others: 

  •  Strong understanding of Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and the Nonprofit Success Pack. 
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) to translate complicated business requirements into technical-based language, and vice versa. 
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.  
  • Strong problem-solving mindset. 
Language Requirements:  
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required. 
  • Knowledge of Portuguese and another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian) is also an asset.
