Qualifications
Education: Advanced degree (master's or higher) in economics, education public policy, evaluation, or relevant field of social sciences
Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required *:
Minimum of five years of professional experience in evaluations exercises.

Thematic expertise in education.
•
Experience with evaluation exercises in Bangladesh is an advantage.
•
Experience with mixed-method data collection and analysis, including survey design; advanced statistical analysis. Expertise in qualitative approaches including semi-structured interviews; focus group discussions; and innovative data collection methods. Experience with qualitative data coding tools, such as MAXQDA.
•
Expertise working with machine learning tools (for data mining and sentiment analyses), advanced statistical analyses and visualisation tools such as Power BI-Excel, Python, and qualitative tools.
•
Proven experience utilising gender-responsive, disability inclusive, and contextualisation approaches for evaluation. Experience working in humanitarian, peacebuilding, and emergency context is an advantage.
•
Ability to independently support or lead one or more elements of the evaluation, complementing the strengths of the team leader (technical, thematic, and geographic expertise).
Evaluation team member’s presence in Bangladesh (Dhaka and field) is required during the data collection phase. Ideal, but not obligatory, during the presentation of emerging findings and recommendations workshop.

- Payment of professional fees will be based on submission of agreed satisfactory deliverables. UNICEF reserves the right to withhold payment in case the deliverables submitted are not up to the required standard or in case of delays in submitting the deliverables on the part of the consultant.
