The Bangladesh Country office is seeking two recruit seven (7) experienced WASH Officers, NOB, for its offices in Dhaka, Chittagong and Cox Bazaar.

Purpose for the job:
In their respective duty stations, the WASH Officers will be responsible for providing technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the WASH programming process. The Officers will also prepare, manage and implement a variety of technical and administrative tasks, related to the development, implementation, as well as monitoring and evaluation of the WASH output results of the country programme.

Minimum requirements:
Education:
- A first university degree in one of the following fields is required: public health, social sciences, behavior change communication, sanitary engineering or another relevant technical field.
- Additional relevant post-graduate courses that complement/supplement the main degree are a strong asset.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of two years of professional work experience in WASH-related programmes for developing countries is required.
- DEVELOPMENTAL: a minimum of two years of professional work experience in WASH-related programmes for developing countries is required
- HUMANITARIAN: both preparedness and response
- Experience in supporting climate-resilient WASH programming.
- Proven ability in supporting programme/cluster/sector coordination
- Sound technical knowledge in the design, implementation and management of WASH infrastructure (including water supply, fecal sludge management technologies), community engagement and hygiene promotio
- Experience in systems approach to WASH programming and evidence-based planning, monitoring, and reporting
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
Desirables:
- Experience in water resource management
- Experience in contract and partnership management
- Ability to act as a resource person for capacity building in WASH.
- Experience with piloting of technical and social innovations and approaches to scale-up effective, affordable solutions for sustainable WASH services delivery
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
