How can you make a difference?
Under the supervision and guidance of the Chief of Education, the Programme Associate provides specialized programme and administrative support to facilitate the development, implementation and monitoring of UNICEF's education programmes. The role involves substantial engagement in data analysis, budget tracking, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and compliance with organizational rules. Incumbent exercises judgment, anticipates needs, and recommends actions that contribute to programme planning, implementation and reporting results.

Minimum requirements:
Education:
- Completion of secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the work of the organization.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of six years of administrative or clerical work experience is required.
Three (3) years and an additional two (2) years of experience may be substituted for candidates holding a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, respectively.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Intermediate level of English. If the selected candidate is not fluent, they will have to commit to improving their English skills in the first year on the job.
Desirables:
- Prior experience in programme support functions.
- Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
- Experience supporting budget monitoring.
- Fluent level of English.
