TERMS OF REFERENCE
The consultant will be embedded within the Central Medical Store to support the Government of Nepal in strengthening immunization supply chain systems in line with National Immunization program operations, Gavi priorities and CCEOP objectives. The assignment will focus on improving the performance, reliability, and visibility of vaccine and immunization commodity management across the national system.
The consultant will support end-to-end vaccine supply chain functions, including stock management, forecasting and quantification, and coordinated distribution to subnational levels to ensure uninterrupted availability of vaccines and related commodities. Emphasis will be placed on strengthening data quality, real-time monitoring, and the use of digital systems such as PAMS to enhance evidence-based decision-making.
The role will also contribute to improving system efficiency and accountability by reinforcing monitoring and reporting of key supply chain performance indicators, including stock status, distribution, and wastage, in alignment with national guidelines and Effective Vaccine Management (EVM) standards.
In addition, the consultant will provide targeted technical assistance and on-the-job capacity building to government counterparts to improve vaccine management practices, cold chain operations, and inventory control systems.

Minimum requirements:
- Education: Bachelors in Pharmacy or Public Health
- Work Experience:
- At least 3 years of progressively responsible professional work experience in immunization supply chain and vaccine management;
- Demonstrated knowledge of immunization programme management and inventory management;
- Skills (optional): [Insert technical and non-technical skills].
- Language Requirements: Good written and spoken Nepali and English languages
- Knowledge/Expertise/Skills:
- Good interpersonal skills and teamwork, self-motivated and able to work with partners.
- Must have knowledge of health system in Nepal. Knowledge of DHIS/HMIS and PAMS system is must.
- Good at data management (analysis and interpretation).
- Desirables: Working experience of UN agencies is desirable.
