UNICEF Pacific in partnership with Solomon Islands Government (SIG) requires technical assistance to support the development of key mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) tools and guidance materials for use within education, health, and community and counselling systems. The assignment will contribute to strengthening mental health service delivery and workforce capacity across the health, education, and community sectors through the development of practical, contextually relevant, and evidence-informed training resources, professional standards and implementation guidance. The Project Coordinator will provide technical, coordination, and administrative support to ensure timely and quality implementation of the Airtel Africa initiative for the West and Central Africa Regional Office. The consultant will act as the focal point between UNICEF regional and country offices, Airtel Africa’s group team, and national affiliates, supporting joint planning, monitoring, reporting, and communication efforts.
In the context of the Ebola outbreak and other public health emergencies, the consultant will contribute to strengthening partnerships and supporting the development and implementation of resource mobilization strategies and tools for humanitarian fundraising, with the aim of increasing quality resources from public and private sector partners. In collaboration with WCARO and selected Country Offices, the role will provide technical guidance and advice to regional partnership and emergency teams, as well as country teams, on appropriate fundraising strategies, action plans and implementation frameworks. This will include identifying new and existing donors, including National Committees and private sector prospects, supporting the development of resource mobilization materials, preparing area-specific action plans, and developing proposals, investment cases and concept notes as needed.
