The post is based in Malé and provides day-to-day leadership of the UNICEF office in the Maldives, reporting to and under the overall direction and delegated authority of the Representative. The Representative and Deputy Representative (Programmes) are based in Sri Lanka with regular travel to Male. The Assistant Representative works closely with the Deputy Representative (Programme) on programme delivery and with staff based in Sri Lanka to ensure effective implementation and coherence across the MCO. UNICEF Bangladesh is seeking an experienced Health Specialist to support the Government in improving child health and strengthening primary health care systems. The role focuses on advancing child survival, development and well-being through evidence-based interventions, Universal Health Coverage and equitable access to quality health services.
