The overall purpose of the assignment is to support International Consultant recruited by UNICEF to develop and implement a WASH focused conflict and peace analysis (CPA) including gender equality, disability, and social inclusion considerations, and to use its findings to effectively integrate conflict sensitivity and peacebuilding into WASH programming in Somaliland Office. The participatory conflict analysis will help to identify and address the root causes of WASH-related conflict in Somaliland, whilst the targeted capacity development support will equip UNICEF staff and sector partners to effectively integrate the findings to develop and implement conflict sensitive and peacebuilding programming.
Under the supervision of the Education Specialist, the Education Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for education programmes/projects within the Country Programme from development planning to delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, evaluating and reporting.
