Grants Accountant I, within UF’s Contracts and Grants, is an apprentice-level professional with limited or no prior experience in research administration; learns to use professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity; works on developmental assignments that are initially routine in nature, requiring limited judgment and decision making. Under general supervision, The Grants Accountant I is responsible for award administration including award set up, management, and closeout for contracts and grants in assigned portfolio. The Grants Accountant II is an intermediate-level professional who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to manage an assigned portfolio and tasks of moderate scope and complexity. The Grants Accountant II independently performs responsibilities; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. |
