| Job Description: |
The Department of Neurology at the University of Florida College of Medicine invites applications for a full-time Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor faculty position in Neuromuscular Neurology. Rank and tenure status will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The successful candidate will join a nationally recognized academic neurology program and contribute to the clinical, educational, and scholarly missions of the Department. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care for patients with neuromuscular disorders, participating in multidisciplinary clinics, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and engaging in clinical, translational, or basic science research consistent with the candidate's interests and expertise.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized clinical care to patients with neuromuscular disorders, including but not limited to peripheral neuropathies, myopathies, motor neuron diseases, neuromuscular junction disorders, and inherited neuromuscular conditions.
- Participate in inpatient neurology consultations and neuromuscular service activities as assigned.
- Perform and interpret electrodiagnostic studies (EMG/NCS).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities.
- Develop and maintain a scholarly portfolio through research, publications, quality improvement initiatives, or other academic endeavors.
- Contribute to the growth and advancement of the Neuromuscular Division and Department of Neurology.

The ideal candidate will possess:
- Board certification in Neuromuscular Medicine.
- Expertise in electrodiagnostic medicine (EMG/NCS).
- Experience in clinical research, translational research, clinical trials, or other scholarly activities.
- Demonstrated success in interdisciplinary collaboration and academic program development.
- Record of peer-reviewed publications and extramural funding (for associate and full professor candidates).
