The person in this position will assist investigators and study teams with navigating the research and recruitment environment and provide recruitment-related support as they develop protocols and interface with the required UF regulatory departments. The person in this position must have the ability to understand Federal, NIH, and CMS regulations to maintain protocol compliance. Promoting research participation in the community and CTSI services across the university and interfacing with other members of the NIH's national CTSA Recruitment Consortium will also be required. The MD-PhD Program Specialist supports the mission of the UF MD-PhD Program, where this individual is responsible for identifying, recruiting, matriculating, evaluating and maintaining post-graduation engagement with prospective and current MD-PhD scholars. The Program Specialist is responsible for identifying, recruiting, matriculating, evaluating, and maintaining post-graduation engagement with prospective and current MD-PhD Scholars. The position represents the UF College of Medicine and the MD-PhD Program in live and virtual communications with prospective students locally, statewide, and nationally, supporting outreach, recruitment, and admissions efforts. The Program Specialist works closely with faculty from all colleges in addition to faculty in the MD-PhD Recruitment and Selection Committee to facilitate application review, interviews, and final selection decisions. Overall, this program provides comprehensive administrative and programmatic support to the MD-PhD Program Directorate and staff, playing a key role across the full lifecycle of MD-PhD scholars from recruitment and matriculation through program evaluation and long-term career tracking. In collaboration with the MD-PhD Evaluator and Data Manager, the Program Specialist collects and maintains accurate data on scholar progress and long-term career outcomes in accordance with the MD-PhD Evaluation Plan.
